Our third project with Shine Pharmacy was an exercise of recycling and re-pairing old furniture from an existing shop with new built-in works on a tight deadline, as well as some graphical re-branding exercises to further enhance their identity and prime location.
Situated in a busy commercial and F&B district consisting of low-rise shop-houses, we renovated two ground floor shop-lots by converting them into a single, open space for the pharmacy’s retail and display purposes. Central to this space is the Prescription Counter ‘island’ which forms the focal point where the majority of the activity occurs, ranging from consultations to dispensing medicines and payments.
For the external front face of the building, we explored different options of creating an interesting, visually captivating façade that was inexpensive and relatively low maintenance. In the end, we decided on a painted mural composed of ‘molecular structures’ using the colours and code of the Shine Pharmacy brand. The project was completed in 2017.
