Parkview Tower

Designed for 2 architects and their young children, this renovation involved converting one half of an existing penthouse into a 3-bedroom apartment unit with new ensuites, library and living/dining area. Drawing inspiration from their travels to the Nordic countries and their love for vintage sensibilities, natural materials such as locally sourced plywood, Selangan Batu hardwood floors and stones were used throughout the apartment.

The theme of recycling and adapting old structures is also an important theme; old steel fences salvaged from an abandoned factory were converted into wall features such as a vegetation wall, a space to hang artwork as well as an abstracted mirror feature. By using humble, simple materials in unexpected ways, we wished to continue the process of discovery to create objects and spaces of interest that captivate and inspire their family.
