This project involves the renovation of the building facade and interior renovation for the lobby, café and public areas for an existing hotel building. The existing building is quite utilitarian in its original outlook, and we were tasked with transforming it into a visually attractive boutique hotel. Our Client had already decided on the name for the hotel – Legacy Hill, with the vision of connecting to Kuching’s Colonial architectural heritage, its diverse culture, and its timeless charm. From the White Rajahs to the British colonial period, and the rich ethnic traditions of Sarawak, these legacies formed the basis of our design.

What was once a façade of small windows was reimagined - transformed into grand
decorative pillars, seamlessly blending the old with the new. Inside, shades of green reflect Sarawak’s natural paradise, bringing the rainforest into the heart of the hotel.
