Sapphire on the Park is a condominium development by Naim that is situated in the heart of Kuching, with close proximity to shopping centres and prominent residential suburbs. It comprises of 3 residential towers above a podium that consists of carparks as well as a facilities deck that consists of a swimming pool, children’s playground and rooms for functions and entertainment.

We were engaged to design the interiors of two of the ground floor Main Entrance Lobbies – Sapphire Platinum and Sapphire Deluxe. In addition to that, we designed the interiors of the common hallways as well as the lift lobbies of each of the residential towers. To highlight the tall ceiling spaces as well as the natural ventilated lobbies, we placed dark-stained timber and clear mirror panels to the upper portion of the wall surfaces in order to instill a sense of direction to visitors and residents. These are in stark contrast to the white decorative screens with patterns derived from local tribal motifs, providing layers and depths to an otherwise empty space.

This project is currently on-going, however the Ground Floor Main Lobby for the Sapphire Deluxe towers have been completed.
